These Makhana also known as Mimosa Sugar balls are small white pearl-sized round dana. This is made by boiling sugar and making it like a syrup, It is then transferred into a centrifuge like machine and rotated till it forms sugar balls. It is used to decorate cakes or any other confectionery. It is majorily used as Prasad for Puja etc. It is served with Peanuts, Chana, Puffed Rice etc. Basic Surti Ponkh dish can also be prepared using it. These can be used as an alternative to normal sugar as these are made with sulfurless sugar.
